Aseity
(n.) – The divine attribute of self-existence; that by which Christ is the cause of Himself, dependent on nothing, yet the source of all that is.

He lives by no command outside His own, 
Self-born, Self-light, the source of every breath. 
No cradle shapes the power on His throne, 
no hand can grant Him life or stay His death. 

Before the stars first sparked their fragile glow, 
before the roots of time began to spread, 
He stood complete, the One all beings know, 
the Spring from which all existence is fed. 

Creation rises only at His word, 
its weight sustained by what He wills to be. 
No voice above Him ever can be heard, 
for all that speaks finds life within His sea. 

He is the cause of all that comes to light,
the Self-Existent Christ, the source of every life.
